Book Workers Union Press Conference

Join us in ringing in the new union! We, the booksellers at Elliott Bay, will be formally announcing our decision to form an independent union for collective bargaining. We will be gathering outside of The Elliott Bay Book Company (1521 10th Ave) at 9:15 am on this Friday, March 13. We will be joined by supportive members of our community, including our local city council representative Kshama Sawant, and hope you will be there with us. Come out to show solidarity!

After the press conference, we invite you to support our union by supporting our bookstore. The Elliott Bay Book Company opens at 10am, and our staff will be working the desk and stocking the shelves (and doing all the other big and little things that keep the cogs turning) like we have for the past 47 years.
